The tidal bore on Saturday was a bit more dramatic than usual. Nothing compared to the Bay of Fundy or Reversing Falls, still the color difference where the incoming tide met the Bay was hard to miss.

Hi there, may I ask where exactly the location in this photo is? And is the lighter coloured water the tida water rushing in?

This is a view from Telegraph Hill in San Francisco, looking east to Yerba Buena Island and the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge. The tide is coming in from the left.

Hi, thanks for your reply, in the photo, as you said the tide is coming in from left’ but i wouldn’t describe that as a tidal bore. anyway, are you from south east of Canada, where bay of funds is? If you are interested, I could send you some photos of the tidal bore in my hometown, I’m a big fan of tidal bore world wide. Arnold
