Thx! We have friends who had a place (well, still have a place but they rent it out now, so we can't crash there) at Bixby Creek. We'd go there with the kids and a couple other couples for weekends each year for =years= when the now old ones were young ones.

Because our friends have rented out their place, we can't hang at Bixby Creek so we're always looking for alternatives. In 2009 the four Bixby Creek couples rented a place just south of the Bixby Creek Bridge that was on a bluff overlooking the ocean. No way to reach the beach. We had to drive a bit of a ways and wound up down here at this beach. This was not the beach at the mouth of Bixby Creek, but it was swell none the less. And, after all, it's the folks you are with who make the experience, not necessarily where the beach is. It =is= beautiful, isn't it, Heather?

Glad you liked it, Julie.
